AI Maker Series – Global Robotics Games 2023
The Global Robotics Games is an exciting international competition that inspires and encourages students to become innovators of the future. It provides a platform for students to showcase their skills and creativity in designing, programming, and operating robots. By participating in the Games, students can develop valuable skills in problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership.
In this category, teams are to design and build a robot that can travel on the playfield’s Road using only Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) models. The team should program their robot to complete as many rounds of the Road as possible.
2nd Place
AI Maker Series – National Robotics Competition 2023
National Robotics Competition (NRC) has been an ongoing competition organised annually by Science Centre Singapore for the past 24 years with support from the Ministry of Education, various partners and sponsors. This competition has attracted more than 62,500 participants and 250,000 supporters to date.
In this category, teams are to design and build a robot that demonstrates the abilities of an autonomous vehicle. Vehicles need to collect data, plan their trajectory and execute the trajectory. These tasks, especially the last two require non-traditional programming approaches and rely on machine learning techniques, which are part of AI.
1st Place
U12 CoSpace Autonomous Driving 2023
RoboCup is an international scientific initiative with the goal to advance the state of the art of intelligent robots. When established in 1997, the original mission was to field a team of robots capable of winning against the human soccer World Cup champions by 2050.
For this challenge, teams are required to program autonomous vehicles to navigate through a smart city in virtual environments (CoSpace).
The RoboCup CoSpace Autonomous Driving Challenge focuses on path planning. In this category, teams will only compete in VIRTUAL WORLD.
