Jap Trial 8-9 Dec 2018
We conducted a trial lesson in Japanese on 8 and 9 December 2018 for students between the ages of 4 to 14 years old. Experienced first-hand in construction of a robot from scratch, learning the function of each part and gear, and how they fit together to make the robot work. Trainers would only assist the students when they had trouble fixing the pieces together or if they students chose the incorrect part to fix. After they have completed their robots, a short race was held to see whose robot was the fastest. Students learn that the speed depends on the power, and that power comes from the batteries and parts that are attached at the right places. They also experimented with different ways the robot can move when some parts are fixed differently. Parents were not disappointed with their children’s achievement and the fun they had. All in all, it was a successful event!
